My research focusses on computational modelling of biological learning and memory based on neuronal and dendritic anatomy with synaptic and structural plasticity rules to study mechanism such as active perception, memory recall, multisensory integration and sensorimotor integration that underlie cognitive behaviours. My research is relevant in modelling cognitive development and applications include cognitive behaviours such as socially aware navigation, multisensory attention, memory recall and perceptual association for cognitive robots in human-robot interaction as well as robotic therapy for attention deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) disorder and Parkinson’s disease.
